The historic market town of Chesterfield lies approx 12 miles south of Sheffield and 26 miles north of Derby. Chesterfield is ideally suited as a centre for commerce in the East Midlands, given its proximity to major road networks and its dominance of the immediate catchment area.

The Spires is prominently positioned approx 400 meters from the town centre and within view of the famous "Crooked Spire" of its Church of Saint Mary and All Saints. The site is at the junction of the A617 / A619 & A61 which provide a 6 mile / 10 minute, dual carriageway route to the M1 junction 29
